80s themed dessert shop - WORTH THE VISIT?? 🤨

Me and my bf decided to pop by Bing Tang Tang Shui on a Thursday night at around 9pm and thankfully it wasn't crowded!! A good place to chill but sadly desserts were mediocre 😔 (just my opinion!!)

🍧 Purple Goji Taro (Osmanthus) - $12.95

4/5 ⭐️ - worth a try

Ordered this as it sounded yumz 😋 and it is also one of their chef's signature which explains the price i guess? I also added 3 pcs of black sesame tang yuan for ($2.00). Taste wise it was indeed pretty unique as it's drizzled with purple goji berry syrup and there was also taro balls (which i love) and attap seeds inside!! Tang yuan was cooked really nicely too 🤤 super soft and chewy just the way i 🫶🏻. -1 as it got a lil plain towards the end when all the ice melted.

My bf ordered this and long story short, the only sweet thing in this dessert was the fruits other than that it was pretty tasteless for us 🥲 not what i expected at all 😅

🫖 Cold Brew Jasmine Green Tea W Popping Boba - $3.85

3.5/5 ⭐️ - can try

Unsweetened green tea, tasted smth like ayataka but with popping boba. Can give it a shot if u like unsweetened tea!! Skip if you prefer your drinks to taste sweet. Personally for me, i loooove ayataka so i can accept that but my bf hates it as he prefers sweet drinks so to each of its own 😃

Overall, it's still a pretty nice place to chill with your friends but just dont expect too much from the desserts (definitely not for sweet tooths 😆) Oh! They also have some mains too if you are not feeling dessert. There's also many different room settings to dine in which all gives off the 1980's office vibe.

For the price, i would say that you are paying for the decor and ambience of the cafe as it is really pretty and nostalgic. Traditional Chinese dessert with a floral-infused twist in an office setting. Service was good though 👍🏻🙂‍↕️
