what’s my fave exfoliator for sensitive skin?

hey guys! in this post, i wanted to share some of the exfoliators that i have in my collection and tell you guys what works and what didn’t work for me!

SKIN TYPE: i have dry and sensitive skin, and i usually gravitate towards using gentler products.

👍🏻  what worked

the ordinary 10% mandelic acid ($13.20)

the ordinary 5% lactic acid ($12.30)

i really like both of these products from the ordinary! right now, i’m currently using the mandelic acid as part of my evening skincare - i noticed that my skin became much smoother after 2 days of using this! it’s gentle enough on my skin and has not caused any irritation so far while still being able to get rid of dead skin cells on my face! the lactic acid is similarly effective but i find it is not as strong as the mandelic acid.

👎🏻 what didn’t work

a friend of mine with really good skin shared about this product so i was really interested to try it to see if i could get similar results! while reading the reviews, i realised it is common to experience breakouts as part of your skin “purging”, so i was prepared to have a minor breakout. i used this once a day every evening as well and after a few days, i did experience some purging but i was also noticing that my skin started to tingle and turn red after applying it, so i stopped using it. unfortunately i realised my skin is too sensitive for this product :( i would still recommend it if your skin is stronger than mine though!
