Romanticizing College Life 💖

Hey y’all! I wanted to come on here and talk about something that I have really been struggling with as a college freshman. Recently, I have been having a hard time finding my routine and flow in college, and I’ve found myself feeling super overwhelmed. After talking to my friends about it, I realized that almost everyone has felt this way at some point or another, and it was so comforting to know that I wasn’t alone. So if you are feeling this way in college, high school, or whatever stage of life you may be in, know that you aren’t alone!!

One thing that I’ve really been trying to focus on to get out of this “funk” is being content with the small things. With so much school work, it’s so easy to feel consumed and isolated on campus and begin to feel overwhelmed. I’ve started to try to “romanticize” life and it has drastically improved my mood and stress levels. I get excited about my daily coffee runs with my boyfriend, my nightly debrief with my roommate/ bestie, the days that I get to model, or the times I go get dinner with my friends.

I promise you that if you “romanticize” the small things in life and get excited over the small things, your whole perspective will shift. Life isn’t always going to be the most exciting, but you can always make efforts to make the most of whatever stage you may be in. It’s been extremely hard to balance my school life with my social life, but every day I am learning that I am so blessed with so many amazing friends, opportunities, and experiences that make it all worth it ❤️❤️❤️
