🦒Safari Park: personal encounter with giraffes! 🥹

this Safari Park is located at Kanchanaburi, a 3-hours drive out of BKK! I've been wanting to go for the longest time ever and I'm so glad we did.

I already know what questions you're going to ask so I'll address them all below so you can experience this for yourself too 🥰

👩🏻‍💻 𝗪𝗵𝗲𝗿𝗲 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗵𝗼𝘄 𝘁𝗼 𝗯𝗼𝗼𝗸?

We booked directly from their official FB Page - Safari Park, Kanchanaburi. It's A LOT cheaper when you book directly with them as compared to booking on Klook and other travel sites. You also need to book a specific timeslot for the Giraffe Package 🦒 (where you travel in the jeep for the personal encounter with the giraffes) via their FB.

Please reserve a slot early! If not you risk not being able to get a timeslot to feed the giraffes and it'll be a wasted trip for you. The full 30 mins time slot will be yours ☺️🙌🏻

🦓 𝗪𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝗬𝗼𝘂 𝗖𝗮𝗻 𝗘𝘅𝗽𝗲𝗰𝘁 𝗮𝘁 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗦𝗮𝗳𝗮𝗿𝗶 𝗣𝗮𝗿𝗸

• Safari Bus Tour 🚌 where you can feed giraffes, deers & camels from the bus. You will also be able to see leopards, lions and sun bears!

• Petting zoo where you can see smaller animals like monkeys, goats, donkeys, etc 🙉

• Animal shows 🐊 (but we completely skipped this)

• Private 30-min giraffe feeding slot 🦒🥕 (need to book in advance, additional price)

• Private feeding for white lion, tiger & leopard cubs (additional price) 🐯🍼

🚗 𝗛𝗼𝘄 𝗪𝗲 𝗚𝗼𝘁 𝗧𝗵𝗲𝗿𝗲

We hired a private driver who picked us up at our hotel at 6AM! 🌅 We told him we needed to reach the Safari Park at 9AM so he picked us up earlier in case there was a jam. But we ended up reaching early at 8.40AM since the roads were pretty clear!

💰 𝗣𝗿𝗶𝗰𝗲

Entry fee: 550 baht (SGD$21.80)

Giraffe Feeding: 1000 baht (SGD$39.70)

White Lion Cub Feeding: 800 baht (SGD$31.70)

Private driver for 10 hours: 3,500 baht (SGD$35 when we divide by each person)

Total: $128.20

it'll be cheaper if you want to hire the private driver for a shorter duration but we also got him to drive us to Bubble in the Forest, a cafe that's a lil further out of BKK to make our drive out more worth it! so you can consider that too.

🤍 𝗜𝘀 𝗶𝘁 𝗲𝘁𝗵𝗶𝗰𝗮𝗹?

I read that this Safari Park was built for people to have a closer interaction with animals and as a better way to learn about them 🥺 It was also built with the intention of providing their local people with more job opportunities. From the way their staff handles the animals, I can tell they genuinely do care for them. As for the animal shows, we didn't watch a single one so I can't comment on that one!
