river, night safari & zoo: which is best for you?🦁

hey Zesties! as someone who recently visited the Zoo and thoroughly enjoyed my day there, i thought i’d use this chance to share about the similarities and differences among the other popular attractions - Singapore Zoo, Night Safari, and River Safari. each of these attractions is unique in its own way and has something different to offer, so let's dive right in to decide which is the best attraction for you!

1. Singapore Zoo

Singapore Zoo is widely known for its open-concept animal habitats that provide a naturalistic environment for over 2,800 animals from 300 species. the zoo is spread across 28 hectares and is home to animals from around the world, including lions, tigers, elephants, and orangutans. visitors can take a tram ride around the zoo to get a comprehensive tour of the exhibits 🚃

key attractions:

daily animal shows and interactive experiences such as feeding sessions with animals like giraffes and white rhinoceros! there’s even a petting zoo where you can spend a couple of mins petting the cutest baby goats and rabbits 🥹 (also, just my own opinion but i feel like the kfc there is so much better than all other kfcs that it’s entirely worth going to the zoo for LOL)

who is it best for?

in my opinion, the zoo is perfect for families with young children or animal lovers who want to see animals up close in a natural setting 👨‍👩‍👧‍👦

2. Night Safari

the world's first nocturnal wildlife park! visitors can experience the thrill of observing over 2,500 animals from 130 species in their natural habitat under the stars 🌌

visitors can take a tram ride or explore the walking trails to observe nocturnal animals up close, and there’s also offers an exciting fire show called "Thumbuakar," where performers manipulate fire to create a visually stunning display 🔥

who is it best for?

personally, i feel that the Night Safari is perfect for adventurous types who want to see animals in a unique setting and who are also not afraid of the dark! 🦉 unfortunately i don’t see well in the dark so when i went with my bf, i didn’t manage to see much … so this can be a key consideration if you don’t see too well in the dark as well 😅

3. River Safari

the River Safari offers visitors the opportunity to take a boat ride along the Amazon River Quest or River Safari Cruise, providing a unique perspective on the animal exhibits and allowing visitors to see the animals in a more naturalistic setting. there’s also has a freshwater aquarium with exhibits showcasing aquatic life from around the world, and you can even touch some of these creatures!! 🤩

who is it best for?

River Safari is perfect for nature lovers who want to learn about freshwater ecosystems and see unique animals like giant pandas! also, it’s great for people who want to be able to chill on a short but calming boat ride 🚤
