Mama and I rate: River Wonders….. 🌊

Hey lovelies, last week I went to River Wonders with my mom for the very first time and my mom says she probably won’t go back for another 10 yrs 🙂

Its $36 for Adults | $25.20 for children | $20 for senior citizens

Getting there: I took the MRT to Khatib station, tapped out turned left and left again to a bus stop/ taxi stand,. There will be a sign board showing the Mandai Shuttle, just pay $1 on board with CARD ONLY and it will bring you directly to the Zoo/ river wonders/ night safari.

So… the River Wonders, the thing that differentiates it from other parks is that it does not allow for free roaming because the route is already planned. Meaning you can’t jump from looking at one thing to another because the route only allows you to go back and forth, unlike the zoo where you can choose to turn left for a tiger or right for a zebra and plan how you want to go.

There are lotssss of fishes in this place, so if you’re not a fan then this really isn’t for you 🙂 after the first display of fishes you get to head into the panda forest where you can see the two celebrity pandas and one red panda, very cute 👍🏻 best part of my park experience

Then after, you will see the jiajiale restaurant- the ONLY restaurant in this whole place 🥲 so if you are hungry somewhere down the road you have to walk the same way back to eat there… or you can settle for some vending machine ice cream. The food is ofc expensive my bowl of noodle was $14.90 so make sure you Sign up for a free digital membership before going to the parks and you can get 10% discount on food and 30% discount on tickets!

Right after the restaurant you will walk pass a bridge to where the Amazon River Quest boat ride ($5 each) is. But that day it was raining with lightning alert so we couldn’t ride at all 😢 we used the ticket bought as cash voucher instead…

There is only ONE show at this park and its the “Once Upon a River” presentation. It runs at 1130am, 230pm and 430pm.

You are required to book your seats for River Wonders' Once Upon a River presentation on the Presentation Booking Portal 2 hours before presentation time.

The show was… alright… it wasn’t very spectacular and people deadass walked out halfway…. 😞 I stayed because I wanted to see a capybara…

Then we continued walking and eventually reached an aquarium, there is a tunnel for walking under the waters which only had 2 otters … and then the main aquarium looked really murky … but we just sat there staring at it cause we had nothing else to do…

After this the park was pretty much done 👍🏻 it wasn’t very memorable so if you are going for the first time I suggest waiting for school holiday promotions so you dont pay full price!
