WARNING:

Very long post of a heartfelt message.

I say all of this with grace and truth. And I am sorry if someone who is reading this might be offended by the end. But this page is about serving the living God and teaching the truth with love and because of that, I will not compromise it for anyone. I do expect people to dislike me for it and I’m at peace with that.

One of the best things I get to do on Wednesday nights is serve at my local church with middle school and high school students.

I cry when I see authentic worship in a young person and hear their story because I know this generation is breaking. The confusion of this age from the enemy has caused so many Gen Z students to have a distorted view of God and has led to a troubling mental health and identity crisis…

Not only do I see it around me in real life but I see it on this app too and my heart breaks for them to just know Jesus for who He really is.

Only 28% of Gen Zers are reported to attend church once a month.

Only 13% are reported to attend church regularly (once a week).

Only 4% of Gen Zers have a biblical worldview.

The suicide rate for Gen Z is the second-leading cause of death.

Those from age 10-24 increased by 56% between 2007-2017.

Children 10-14, the rate tripled between 2007-2017.

The CDC states that Gen Z might be the most at risk for mental illness.

1 in 5 Gen Zers identify as LGBTQ.

Gen Z is reporting higher rates of anxiety, depression, and distress than any other group.

If there is anything the devil hates more than any other people group, it’s children and young people. And he is severally attacking this generation.

Jesus said, “let the little children come to me, and do not hinder them, for the kingdom of heaven belongs to such as these.” -Matthew 9:14

Jesus said, “who is the greatest in the kingdom of heaven?” And calling to Him a child, He put Him in the midst of them, and said, “Truly, I say to you, unless you turn and become like children, you will never enter the kingdom of heaven.” -Matthew 18:1-3

Jesus was speaking of the faith of a child to exhibit the qualities of humility, innocence, teachability, trust, and inquisitiveness, to have the lowly position of a child. And He calls all people to worship Him in this way.

It’s no surprise that the devil is heavily oppressing young people and taking truths and twisting it leading to demonic lies that confuse and distort the truth. After all, he is the father of lies and prince of the air, the great deceiver. He wants to steal, kill, and destroy as many people as possible and he uses the vulnerabilities of a person to do so.

If you are part of this generation, know that I love you and I pray for you dearly along side alot of other great God fearing men and women for you to see the truth about your true identity in Christ.

You are so valuable to our creator and when He made you, He said you were very good. But the fall led to our pride taking us from the garden where a holy God used to walk with us in the cool of the day. And because of that, He could no longer be in the presence of sinful mankind.

The good news is that JESUS is the propitiation for our sins that has reconciled us to the Father, making the sinner now seen through the eyes of Jesus and not as sons and daughters of Adam.

You are NOT who the devil says you are.

You are NOT who the world says you are.

Your true identity is found in CHRIST alone.

God loves all people despite what they have done and there is no sin to great for God, but He is holy. He is separate from the sins of the world and over and over again the Bible tells us that He calls sinners to repentance, being patience and merciful toward us, wishing that no one would perish.

Too often, the love of God gets twisted causing people not to understand the nature, law, and attributes of God’s character that display His love. They think that because He is love that it surpasses their sin, allowing them to “be who they want to be”, “to follow their heart/passion”, “to carry out their own fleshly desires”, but Jesus told us to die to ourselves daily and to walk in the spirit, not in the flesh. And it is not something we can do in our own strength.

Our greatest fight against the flesh is our pride and sexual desires. This is why Jesus said you must be born again and become a new creation.

God did not make you to be who you want to be or live a life based on how you feel, He made you IN HIS IMAGE. To love Him and love people. To walk in a life of holiness. We can all agree that God is love and we are for LOVE. But love is not the only attribute that makes Him wholesomely who He is.

He is fully love, He is fully just, He is fully righteous, He is fully gracious, He is fully merciful, He is full of knowledge, Infinite, immutable, self-sufficient, omnipotent, omniscient, omnipresent, wise, faithful, good. HE IS HOLY.

And holy does not mix with sin.

All have sinned and fallen short of the glory of God and there is none who is righteous, and yes we struggle with sin, but the difference between a repentant sinner and a non-repentant sinner is that the repentant sinner understands that the purpose of life is to be transformed by the renewal of the mind and to turn from sin to walk in a life that moves in the direction of His character, leading us to becoming more holy. A repentant sinners sins are forgiven.

While the non-repentant sinner wants God to be made in their image rather than being made in the image of God. They want God to think, act, and understand life, and feel things like them, but God’s ways are not our ways and His thoughts are not our thoughts. The Bible tells us that an unrepentant sinner is storing up their own wrath for the day of judgment.

it is no surprise when the Bible tells us our natural instinct is to be a God hater(with our sinfulness/selfish desires) whether we realize it or not. But God loved us so much that He gave Himself up for us so that we might choose to understand His will for our life and walk in the fruit of the spirit towards a relationship with the holy God and strive to become more like Him everyday until our last breath.

I pray for anyone reading this post, Gen Z or not, that you may know the truth and if you do, to be bold to speak it, and to not be ashamed of the Lord. I care for you deeply and that is why I speak the truth with a burning passion in my heart and fear of the Lord for you to know God the way He desires us all to know Him.

May God bless you.

All blessing, honor, glory, and power, belongs to the one who sits on throne.
