Different stages of life together 🥹

hiya 🧏🏻‍♀️

i had 0 ideas growing up that i would be dating someone who would start working before me 😵 It's been about two month +++ - since my partner started his full time career as SN👨🏻‍⚕️

prior to this, i was like so happy but mixed with some anxiety - is things gonna change drastically? will i be able to understand him and support him throughout this? what if his job gets inbetween us.... but oh well here are the 3 main changes 😆

1️⃣ Scheduling ⏰

He's on a shift work regiment - so there are days where we can meet (after my school etc!) but there are also many days where the timing is just to hard to go out or make any plans. Not ready at this point for him to do night shift more regularly tho... 😟 but hoho at least when he leaves work, he literally leaves all his work behind 🤣 no patients to bring home.

2️⃣ Priorities 📋

i would say his job doesn't allow him the opportunity to text me inbetween because his department which i really don't mind - but that means things that are urgent - i have to wait for his shift to end or his break time 😮‍💨

3️⃣ New faces 🧏🏻‍♀️

he gets to meet so many people, literally every week - someone new is following him on ig. keeping up with his character list in his day to day job has been tough - but i really admire hearing his stories, the new colleagues he's meeting 😊

overall the transition has been fine not so DRASTIC or DRAMATIC that i expected - and well maybe it's nice that despite how different we are in life right now - we still have each other 😎
