The cute animal theme cake my daughter baked

It was so fun to see my daughter so engaged in decorating the cake for the contest at school. The theme was Animal Adventure. She came up with the ideas for how she wanted to decorate, and took me to Michael’s at the last minute to get the special finishing touches and fondant.

I baked the base chocolate cake using @sallysbakeblog recipe.

This was her first time participating, but so happy with how it turned out. I guess now she is hooked and ready to make a cake every year!
