Yappari Steak @ Vivocity 😋

Decided to try this new japanese steak place at vivocity after passing by the store and smelling how good the beef was 😂 My boyfriend and I couldn’t resist and had to try it even though there was a long queue. I would say the wait is about 20-30mins but the staff brought over the menu to those in the queue to have a look while we were queuing! When it was our turn to get a table, the staff took our order before we were seated and the food came surprisingly fast 💨💨

We both had the yappari steak (200g) for $23.80 and it came with free flow rice, salad and egg drop soup! On our table, there was also a plethora of sauces for us to try with our steak. I am a firm believer that steak + salt and pepper is all it takes 🤭🤭 but i would say the sauces did pair well with the steak 😂😂

I think one small complain I have is that the hot stone that the steak is placed on cooks the steak rather too quickly😅😅 they recommended to cut it up and eat it immediately if you wanted it rare, but for slower eaters while you’re enjoying your first few cuts of steak, the rest of the meat gets cooked pretty fast to a medium/ well done state😂😂

Overall, I would recommend to try the place out at least once to have the experience of “cooking” your own steak but I would say there are better steaks out there at the same price point, eg featherblade and also, the queue is pretty long consistently throughout my time there so do note if you don’t like to queue! And the staff were a little cranky (i guess overstimulated from the amount of customers queuing up for a restaurant with small number of seatings available😅)

Personally, probably wouldn’t return for a second time but was a fun first experience 🫶🏻
