spilling the tea on chiangrai’s specialty 🍃

we’re here in chiangrai!! i’m so excited to share on this tea plantation we visited today! so i’ll consolidate tips and itinerary of our 3D2N road trip in chiangrai in a separate post 😉

🇹🇭 CHIANGRAI

it’s about 3 hours drive away from chiangmai! a relatively quieter town undiscovered by many. there’s 3 things that chiangrai is famous for: coffee, tea and temples!

🍃 CHOUI FONG TEA PLANTATION

this place definitely reminds me a lot of the osulloc tea house in jeju!! very similar vibes! they’re one of the largest tea producers in chiangrai.

- about 1 hour drive from the city

- pretty straightforward to follow the gps, not many up/down slopes except in the plantation itself

- located at the hill top

🍰 CAFE

a very pretty cafe overseeing the tea terraces

what we ordered:

- matcha crepe

- green tea latte ✨

this is soooo amazing! best i’ve had! it was so good that we bought a second cup and also the matcha powder to bring back 🥺

🎁 SOUVENIRS

for the tea lovers like me! they have all the tea leaves / bags that was used at the cafe!

what we bought:

- osmanthus oolong tea

- roasted rice oolong tea

- green tea powder

🕰️ GOLDEN HOUR

this was the hour for us!! we were there for 2 hours and took lots of photos. but when we leaving, we saw the golden light casting on the tea terraces 🤯

so… we ended up staying for another hour to take EVEN more photos! all those you see in my photos are it 😂

💚 RECOMMENDATION

such breathtaking views and the matcha lover me is satisfied 💯 i highly recommend this place if you’re visiting chiangrai, or even this is your sign to visit the undiscovered chiangrai! ☺️
