Spilling my favourite local teahouse 🍵

Antea Social has got to be my favourite teahouse in Singapore!! After exploring Jalan Besar neighbourhood, my friend and I decided to head over to Antea Social to chill and chat. The whole space spells AESTHETIC ✨ I was pleasantly surprised by the whole experience and will definitely be back. I am not usually a super huge fan of tea but this place change the game for me. Here’s some highlights on why this is my favourite tea spot:

𝐀𝐦𝐚𝐳𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐭𝐞𝐚 & 𝐜𝐚𝐤𝐞 𝐫𝐚𝐧𝐠𝐞

I had their Lychee Cold Brew Tea which was amazing - so light, refreshing with a tint of sweetness. We had their honey earl grey hazelnut sliced cake which was really delicious too. Pairing the sliced cake with our tea is the perfect balance.

𝐏𝐞𝐫𝐬𝐨𝐧𝐚𝐥 & 𝐢𝐧𝐭𝐢𝐦𝐚𝐭𝐞 𝐞𝐱𝐩𝐞𝐫𝐢𝐞𝐧𝐜𝐞

My friend had their tea in a pot, where she was served with a teapot, an hour glass that acts as a timer, an empty glass to pour out her tea once the tea leaves have been brewed for 3 minutes and a small tea cup of your choice. It also comes with a small note which tells you the taste profile of the tea, the country of origin and the type of tea leaves used. It was a nice that customers get to be involved in the tea brewing experience.

𝐂𝐨𝐬𝐲 & 𝐜𝐡𝐢𝐥𝐥 𝐞𝐧𝐯𝐢𝐫𝐨𝐧𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭

The owner wanted to create a space for people to have conversation over tea, which explains the name Antea Social. (“To socialise over tea”)

Everyone seems to be engaged with their little activities within their own table. Small groups of friends are catching over a pot of tea. A pair of couple were reading a book side by side. It such a lovely sight to behold. I would love to come back alone with a book and read in this quaint space.

The place wasn’t too big but we managed to find seats on a weekday as it was just the 2 of us. Their double storey tall ceiling helps to make the interior feel spacious and airy, with some natural sunlight peeking through from their circular window at the entrance of the shop.
