Hosting Tip: Make 2 tables look like 1 long table!

When sourcing for our dining table, we knew we wanted to host frequently, which meant we needed a table big enough to host larger groups. However, we also value having more space to move around at home, especially when it’s just the two of us.

Here’s how we ensure we have sufficient dining space for hosting without sacrificing our day-to-day moving space! 🙌🏻

1️⃣ 𝗖𝗼𝗹𝗹𝗮𝗽𝘀𝗶𝗯𝗹𝗲 𝘁𝗮𝗯𝗹𝗲

—> It collapses into a flat square, and does not take up much storage space. We tuck it away in the bomb shelter when not in use.

—> Some collapsible tables have legs that require screwing in when you set them up. We specifically looked for one where we can just pop the legs open :)

2️⃣ 𝟯-𝘄𝗮𝘆 𝗰𝗼𝗹𝗹𝗮𝗽𝘀𝗶𝗯𝗹𝗲/𝗲𝘅𝘁𝗲𝗻𝗱𝗮𝗯𝗹𝗲 𝗱𝗶𝗻𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝘁𝗮𝗯𝗹𝗲

—> We shared about this dining table from Taobao in a previous post :)

—> To combine the two tables together as seamlessly as possible, we collapse one side of this wooden table. The collapsed side joins the other table.

3️⃣ 𝗥𝗲𝘂𝘀𝗮𝗯𝗹𝗲 𝘁𝗮𝗯𝗹𝗲 𝗺𝗮𝘁𝘀

—> These table mats are waterproof, making cleaning a breeze. A quick wipe down after each hosting is all that’s needed!

—> Unlike disposable table mats that need to be held/tied down due to their light weight, these mats are heavy enough to stay in place on their own!

—> Since it’s reusable, we don’t have to throw out disposable mats after every hosting, making this an eco-friendly option :)

—> We searched high and low before finding something that matched our home’s aesthetics!

—> The stackable design makes them easy to store.

—> Compared to wooden stools/stools with metal legs, these are much lighter, making them easy to carry around.
