Ingredients
1 cup cool unsalted butter, cubed
435g powdered sugar
34g freeze-dried strawberries (see note)
2 tbsp milk
1 tsp vanilla
pinch salt
Cream together the cool butter and powdered sugar on low speed until combined and smooth. Once smooth, increase speed to medium or medium high and whip for 5 minutes until creamy and light.
In a food processor, grind the freeze-dried strawberries to a fine powder and mix into the frosting
Add the milk and salt and whip until fully incorporated, smooth and light. This frosting has such a delightfully fruity flavor and is perfect for frosting any cakes where you want clear strawberry flavor 🍓🍓
Note: I always buy freeze-dried strawberries at Trader Joe’s because they have the most cost effective freeze dried fruit I’ve found! One bag from Trader Joe’s is perfect for this batch of frosting.
