Beyond the Dough Pizzeria

After booking a month in advance, it was finally time to visit this widely raved pizzeria called Beyond The Dough!

🍕Pizza: I like the pizza dough because it was chewy, airy and light. Ingredients were fresh but minimal, example prawns on Singapore Rampage pizza was little and it was $39++. I get it that it wa simmered for 20 hours and it was very umami. It was as umami as…the prawn broth from River South Prawn Noodle, but for that amount of minced prawn, I don’t think it’s worth it to pay $42.90 after taxes for this pizza.

The marinara sauce was also more watery than usual which makes the dough soggy. Some people may like that.

🪐Space: Pretty cramped, tables are really closed to each other. Like literally 10-20cm away from the next table.

🙇🏻‍♀️Service: Quite a muted welcome, I guess from a more reserved server but he was polite. Kudos to the short-haired lady with a pretty manicure, who was warm and friendly. She served the table next to us and was very detailed in giving the recommendations.

👎🏻One thing I didn’t like was there were many things you had to pay extra for a fuss-free pizza place:

1. Reservation was $40/person so for 2 pax you had to deposit $80, and then after the meal track your bank account to see if they have refunded you…

2. Water was $3/person if you don’t order any of the drinks. Heads up Coke Zero goes for $6 a pop, sparkling and still water is $6.50.

3. Only 1 dessert choice of tiramisu was available

Would I go back? Don’t think I would as I think once is enough.🤷🏻‍♀️
