Tucked away in an alley in Jeju City’s shopping area, is 마음에 온 [温] (maeum eon), pretty easy to miss so make sure you mentally note the entrance on p7!

A large contrast to the coastal cafes in east Jeju, MAEUM EON is a warm cosy nest, infusing the charm of old Jeju city, and traditional korean flavours ingredients in their desserts and drinks. Check it out if you need some peace and quiet after shopping!

They have a curated selection of desserts, including levain cookies, dacquoise, honey cakes, yakgwa, and with our limited belly space, went for a Persimmon cream cheese roll and candied walnuts - overall, 4.25/5.

- Persimmon Cream Cheese roll 🍊[₩4,000] fusing traditional dried persimmons, cream cheese and walnuts was a surprisingly great combination of sweet, savoury and nutty

- Candied Walnuts [₩3,000] dark caramelised walnuts were the perfect pairing with a black cup of joe

Drinks-wise, they had a good selection of coffee and non-coffee options

- Jeju Green Barley Latte 🍵 [₩6,500] tastes just like a green tea latte - 4.5/5

- Condensed Milk Latte ☕️ [₩5,500] your kopi beng alternative - 4/5

- Schisandra Ade 🍹[₩6,500] - aka Omija Ade was a refreshing alternative -4/5
