Renovation Week Eight

4 March to 8 March

Works are getting a little slower because we are still waiting for the Carpentry Fabrication to be completed!

Carpenter has took both spiced racks to his factory for fabrication as well! Fingers crossed that carpentry works can start on the 10th or 11th Week of Renovation.

1. Air Conditioning Trunking Works

As all Partition is up, finally we can start to lay the Air Con trunking! We got our Air Con from Gain City, Mitsubishi System 4 , Starmex! The Sub Con that was arranged for my place did the air conditioning trunking works super well! ID commented that the workmanship is good and neat.

As i did not opt for air conditioning box up, due to future tear down issues if need be, i was abit afraid that the trunking will be “in your face”! However, as i visited after works was done, i totally did not realise the trunking at all! Which is great that i saved some 💰 for the box up! Also, we had a mishap with my tiles! The tiler cut the hole too small in the master bed room. ( he covered half the ac trunking hole provided by HDB ). Hence , the ac people had to hack away some part of the tiles, which resulted in the broken tile! Luckily, my ID said he will arrange for the tiler to come back to fix the broken piece..

All in All, the works for AC is very sleek! i especially love the one in the living room! The other Gain City Sub Con that my neighbour had, had very bad workmanship and the trunking has to be relaid again. So, im thankful that i was arranged with a better team!

2. Partition Works

The partition guy still comes over every alternate day to plaster the partition he built. He takes his time to slowly perfect the plastering, which resulted the long duration. But he did tell me that he felt like the wall is not smooth yet so he’s still plastering. and he said for curved walls it takes 3-4 times for plaster. so everytime he plaster it has to set and dry before he plaster a 2nd layer.

Thats why he comes every alternate day 🤣 And until now only half the partition is plastered 🙃🤣 But alright we are still on track as we have to wait for carpentry fabrication as well.

3. Sink Delivery

My sink from Kave Home finally arrived! i cant wait to see how it looked in real life! 😍 Because of the wabi sabi theme, i choose a natural material sink for the master bed room. 😌 Excited to show you all how it will turn out!
