When thinking about our cycle as seasons, the follicular phase is spring. Think about when you get the first taste of spring after winter? What do you crave? Fresh fruits and vegetables, grilled meats, everything fresh and vibrant. Here are some of my favorite meal ideas for your follicular phase!

It’s important to start your day with a very balanced meal. My current fav is a toasted gluten free English muffin with dairy free cream cheese, smoked salmon and everything bagel seasoning. This is an option that always leaves me feeling full and satisfied due to having carbs, fiber, protein and healthy fats. Don't forget to always eat your breakfast before drinking your coffee!

Here’s one of my newest salad obsessions: peaches with spring mix, goat cheese, pecans and grilled chicken. Top it off with a balsamic drizzle. The perfect refreshing meal!

After an afternoon run I love replenishing my calories with a smoothie. My base is frozen banana, frozen mango and frozen peaches, almond milk, agave and vanilla protein powder. I topped it with chia seeds, coconut flakes, macadamia notes & coconut whip.

The majority of the nights I cook my dinner, but this is one of my favorite healthy take out options that is just easier (and cheaper) to buy from the restaurant. I get a base of white rice with tuna and salmon for protein, topped with edamame, mango, carrot, cucumber, avocado and seaweed salad. #lemon8partner #cyclesyncing #womenshealth
