FEP | Hidden Gem OG Banmian / Noodles 🍜

This brings back so much memories as I used to have it almost everyday during my part time jobs at Far East Plaza.

Hong Hu Express is only 2-3 stores away from the famous salted egg pork ribs store, New Station Snack Bar!

I ordered the Tom Yum Seafood U Mian and Guo Tie, which are my usuals. Their noodles are cooked till soft so some might not like it (not mushy tho), and it comes with prawns, crabmeat, minced meat, sliced fish & veggies.

Their tom yum soup is more sour, which I feel sets it apart from the usual soup stock from supermarkets. I EMPHASIS the need to add more chilli padi in the soup please!!!! The end result is a piping hot sour spicy soup. DAMN SHIOK.

Caution: be prepared for the washroom hahahaha

The Guo Tie is also one of the most juicy and crispy years ago but I have to say standards have deteriorated a lil and it ain’t as juicy anymore :( With that said, I’d still recommend you to try it for the crispiness!

You can see that the dumplings are freshly prepared by the chef in store so it’s certainly homemade.

They used to have over 10 tables of seats pre-covid but now it’s less than half of what they used to have. Really saddening to see. Please drop by to support!
