$12/pax beef sukiyaki hidden in the west?! 🤤🤤🤤

Could the west side truly be the best side??? This gem of a restaurant was recommended by my sister and I’ve been craving for it ever since our trip a few weeks ago.

✅ TASTE

Y’all the food here is so good. Everything we ate was a smash. We got the 200g beef sukiyaki, which is large enough to share between two people. We’ve tried the nanban chicken, their Hamburg steak, EVERY ITEM SLAPPED. It tasted so homely, like I was in a cute family bistro in Tokyo. The staff was also Japanese, I’m not sure if it’s run by a Japanese family, but it sure seems like it.

✅ PRICE

Honestly, $23 for 200g of beef is worth it IMO. It was really quite filling, even though it was shared between two people. Everything else we ordered was under $20? And the portions were pretty generous during our visit.

✅ VIBES

Like I mentioned earlier, very homely, feels like I’m in a family restaurant in Japan. Unpretentious and wholesome. I can’t recommend this place enough.

✅ CROWD

Virtually NONE. Because of its residential location, it seems like only residents go here. Also we noticed that a lot of the fellow customers were all Japanese! So I guess it gets a stamp of approval? Family crowd, so expect kids, but the wait for seats was really short.

❌ LOCATION

This restaurant is located within a condo mall along the highway…. There is no nearby train station (the nearest one is Clementi), so you’ll need to take a bus there. BUT FOR MY TRUE DEAD STRAIGHT WESTIES, you have bus options to get there for sure.

⭐️ VERDICT: 10/10 recommend. Super underrated, perfect to just chill and chat over a meal. Unpretentious and filling. SUPER DELICIOUS and relatively affordable as well. I honestly can’t wait to go back and eat it again.
