Michelin guide restaurant, serves 100 bowls a day!

Awarded the Michelin guide 2022, Chef Ok Dong-sik serves only 100 bowls of his take on Dwaeji Gukbap a day.

Think thin slices of tender pork in a bed of plump short grain rice, all submerged in a clear but flavourful broth. What’s more, it’s so affordable at only 10,000₩ (~$10) per bowl!

We saw several customers ordering it so we had to give the Kimchi Mandu a try as well. Though it might not have gotten the Michelin recognition, it was equally tasty as the kimchi was extremely flavourful.

It’s a hole in the wall restaurant, located along a not so brightly lit alley. There are only counter seats and the area is not very big. Locals were putting their phone numbers down to make reservations but don’t worry if you’re a tourist like us, the staff kindly helped us reserve a table. Worth the wait to try such a unique dish!
