As i’m writing this I am laying down in bed completely fatigued lol. I thought this would be so easy for me. I work from home usually (well not anymore starting next week my company is having us go in 6 times a month 😩), so I figured after my shift I could just go to the gym.

The first week was surprisingly easy! Around day 20 I started finding it really difficult to find the motivation to go. Around Day 25 I found the motivation to go again but now I feel completely burnt out. Day 31 was taken October 18th. I had some errands to run after work on the 19th so I ended up not going to the gym and today (the 20th) I found it super hard to get out of bed. I was extremely tired the night before and I think I have hit my limit 😅

It’s easy for me not to drink alcohol because I only drink socially. I haven’t seen too many of my friends within the past month. Even when I have I’d been ordering mock tails instead if available.

My diet was somewhat standard. Baked chicken, Veggies, Tuna, Rice, Wheat Bread instead of white bread.

For snacks I made banana bark (banana and chocolate. you’re supposed to add peanut butter but mine expired lol) and I made a snack mix which consisted of cashews, pistachios, gummy bears and pretzels. I know gummy bears aren’t the healthiest but you gotta indulge in something! Can’t deprive yourself too much.

Planet fitness is literally two blocks away from me and this was my usual routine:

I mainly did cardio and toward the end of my 31 days I started to incorporate some weight training including the leg press, hip abductor/adductor, chest press & the lateral pull down machines

For cardio I alternated between the Stair master (go at your own pace but I alternated between level 2- 5), Elliptical ( Hills, Level 8-10 ), and cycling ( Hills, level 8-10 )

After the gym I’d go for a walk in the park (unless I went after dark ✨safety first✨)

I also started taking the stairs in my building instead of the elevator!

Do you see a difference? I see it in the photos a little but in person i feel like I haven’t really been making a change.

I tried on some old jeans I bought and they actually fit me properly now which is great and exactly what I wanted out of this. FYI: ( I have not been weighing myself at all 😅 So this is kind of the system i’ve been going by haha )

I think i’ll try this again when i feel up to it in the next couple of days but for now I need to recover a bit. It’s so hard not to feel guilty about failing but I think I made progress for now. Maybe i’ll do 30 hard instead of 75!
