POLAND 🇵🇱 || gdańsk and krakow in 2 days

recently, i went on a trip to poland with my friend and we really really enjoyed our trip so much because the architecture, food and price point were excellent!

day 1️⃣

- we took wizz air from eindhoven and landed in gdańsk at 1030am! took the local bus to get to gdańsk old town

- we ate at pueblo for lunch and got their $14 SGD lunch deal which was super worth and the food was really good

- walked around aimlessly and entered multiple landmarks upon discovery: st. mary’s church, motława (that we discovered after walking through a random tunnel)

- found neptune’s fountain and a gelato store nearby that was recommended by a friend! $2.60 SGD for gelato was so worth (i got the milk rum which was aight but the belgian chocolate was really

good)

- teatime at kawiarnia drukarnia where we tried polish cake and had coffee break! (also a toilet break lol)

- took pictures at four quarters fountain and roamed randomly to find random photo spots around gdańsk (do check out długa street — longest street in gdańsk old town)

- had cheap and quick dinner at bar mleczny (milk bar) in town

- walked by the bread bridge (bridge of love) on the way to catch our flixbus! our flixbus landed us en route to krakow from 720pm till 650am the next morning

day 2️⃣

- our flixbus dropped us at the edge of the city centre so we took a really nice and peaceful morning walk around the old town before we had a humongous breakfast at nap nap cafe

- check out wawel castle which has such beautiful architecture! we were stuck here for so long even though we didn’t pay to entire any building exclusively

- explore the river by the krakow eye and the jewish quarters (we really liked corpus christi basilica which i didn’t photograph because they were having a service)

- took a 1h walk from the city centre to krakus mound because we saw a tiktok about it… it was a challenging walk but the view was SO BEAUTIFUL and SO WORTH IT!!!!! krakus mound is also free to enter and climb and the sunset is so beautiful to see from here

- was tired so we took the tram back to the city centre and had delicious beef goulash and polish sausage at morskie oko! super worth by the way it was only $15 SGD each for these two and it was so filling we couldn’t finish our meal

we went back to our hostel and checked out the next day and flew back! 🫶🏻 poland will always have a part of my heart and i wish i spent longer than a day in gdańsk especially because it is just so cozy and homely to stroll around lost… do give poland a try when you’re thinking of european cities to visit instead of the mainstream ones!
