4D3N Royal Caribbean (Spectrum of the Seas)

It’s been long since I went on a cruise and I did not know what to expect about Spectrum of the Seas. Went on this cruise with my family to relax, chill and EAT!

Ocean view balcony room

- Decently spacious, super comfortable bed and loved the balcony! Managed to get the staff to help us link the balcony with our cousins’ room next door as well 🤭

Breakfast

- Really my favourite meal of the day 😋 There was a huuuuge spread of food for breakfast, from Western to Indian, absolutely loved it! 🍳🥞🧇🍞🥓🥛🍉

Snacks

- There was a cafe that served tea time snacks and drinks 🥯

- There were hotdogs at the arcade area but the bun was stale/stiff 😕🌭

- Supper place open till 2 am that serves delicious pizzas 🍕

Performances

- The performances on the cruise were top quality and entertaining, loved the mask changing act! Pro-tip: to use the Royal Caribbean app and check out the show’s schedules. Highly recommended to go and watch!!

Dinner

- It was a fine dining setting where we had 3 courses that we informed our waiter in charge. Highlight for me def was the steak 🥩🤤, still dreaming about it rn 😩

Disembarked in Penang

- We got to Penang and disembarked for about 5h just to see the town. Got a driver and a van and went to pay our respects at The Reclining Buddha (Wat Chayamangkalaram), bought tau sar piah, got to a sleepy little jetty where there were some speedboats and some souvenirs.

- Lastly, time for some dinner! Headed to the famous CKT along Macalister Road, and also got some other sides like oyster omelette, roast pork/charsiew rice and pandan pastries. Food was delicious, but the CKT stall had a looooooong queue and we had to wait around 20 mins 🥲 tbh it was not bad, but i think it wasn’t worth the wait~
