the most convenient exhibition of SAW 2023

Visit the bank today (or rather, by 15th Jan) — not any bank but the UOB above Raffles Place MRT.

Because they have some really amazing artworks being displayed as part of the Singapore Art Week 2023.

Having a mix of both local and international artists, the exhibition celebrates winners of the 2022 UOB Painting of the Year, as well as some Singapore emerging artists’.

TBH I wasn’t expecting much from a bank. But the pieces displayed proved me wrong. They were really great visually and evoked strong messages.

If I’ve to choose a favourite, it would be the one with the Pikachu. IIRC, the artist’s intended message is to illustrate how kids will still have that strong desire to play despite being flooded with schoolwork.

What’s best is that the exhibition is conveniently located at Raffles Place MRT.

It’d be a bonus for you if you work in the city since you can just pop by during lunch.

Should more commercial organisations take up the initiative of appreciating the arts?
