Español Diary 🇪🇸: I came for the best rooftop view

Ronda is a popular day trip spot in Andalusia and is on the way to/from Granada, Sevilla, Malaga … just to name a few.

While most people do a day trip, we stayed for 2 nights while our friends stayed for 3. We booked two nights at the Catalonia Hotel Ronda and it was the best decision ever.

1️⃣ Location

15 minute walk from Ronda train station - that is if you are arriving via the Renfe train. If you are driving, I believe there is parking within the property. Not sure about this one because we didn’t drive. Property is just across the street from the oldest bullring in all of Spain. It is quite centrally located so you can literally walk to and from the hotel to anywhere in Ronda.

2️⃣ Rooms

We arrived early and were lucky to have a room assigned to us. Our room was located at the back of the hotel so we didn’t quite have views of the bullring or anything fancy. But it was mostly quiet and very nice! Definitely the largest and cleanest room we’ve stayed in so far. We even had so much space to open up all our luggage at once!

3️⃣ Service

💯! It was super. David was kind enough to assign us a room even though we were too early for check in. This meant that we could freshen up after our early morning transit from Granada, start exploring Ronda and grab lunch. Housekeeping was fabulous.

How much did it set us back for 2 nights?

~ €250 and was it worth it? 10/10 would recommend.
