Translated to mean “food eaten with alcohol”, Anju is a classy chic contemporary Korean restaurant that serves elevated Korean dishes paired with unique alcoholic drinks.
What we ate:
1. Domi Carpaccio (S$24) - red snapper carpaccio garnished with yuja (yuzu) marinated seaweed. Very refreshing start.
2. Hogam Jeon (S$25) - super super crispy Korean pancake with prawn and zucchini. Add cheese for $3
3. Champagne Makgeolli (S$80) - carbonated makgeolli (makgeolli is a Korean alcoholic drink that tastes a bit like yakult) can be shared amongst 3 or 4 persons
4. Bossam (S$50) - braised pork belly eaten with lettuce and kimchi. Super tender and melt in your mouth, this is a must try.
5. Galbi-Jjim (S$38 per pax, min. order of 2 pax) - Korean braised boneless beef short rib. A very homely and comforting dish with tender beef cubes covered in a rich sauce.
