Champion Bolo Buns — worth the hype? 😕

I'm sure everyone has at least heard of the very famous Champion bolo buns, people are saying that this is the best one on the island (and perhaps, ever!), and my best friend is actually an obsessed fan of theirs.

Curious, I decided to give it a try. And maybe it was me and my high expectations, but it was super underwhelming 😔 Here's why:

🧈 There is quite a bit of butter inside but the ratio of butter and bread is off, like you will have to eat at least half of the bread with no butter,

🥯 Which has almost no taste! Like yes the top is crunchy and slighttttly sweet but that's it.

💸 $5 for normal bread?? I had better for $2-3 from random bakeshops...

I personally like Rotiboy better (but they're only in Malaysia & Indonesia) 🤣 But of course, it's my own preference and it's not a bolo bun (to me it's quite similar), and I think it's soo easy to find much better ones in Malaysia, butttt perhaps this is the best one in SG already unfortunately. However, they do have soo many loyal fans (again, like my best friends), so it's worth checking out to see if it's your cup of tea!
