Pay for Cloud Storage or Hard Drive? 🤔💆

My Google drive has been constantly running out of space recently so I'm very uncertain what to do. Can anyone advise me if I should pay for Google storage or buy a hard drive instead?

Here's some pros and cons for each option that I thought of but please feel free to put your opinion in the comments below!

☑️Pros (Google Storage)☁️

1) Easy to access from multiple devices

2) Back up directly with Internet access

3) Can share storage with multiple accounts

❌Cons (Google Storage)☁️

1) Backs up almost everything if you don't filter

2) Pay recurring larger sum each month instead of one-off

☑️Pros (Hard Drive) 💻

1) Able to access without Wi-Fi

2) Only one payment made, no long term payment

❌Cons (Hard Drive)💻

1) A bit less convenient to use and carry around

2) Larger payment upfront

3) Need time and effort to select items to back up

I'm not sure if the hard drive will be corrupted, but as long as I keep it to personal devices only it should be fine. 🤔

What does everyone think though? Would you pay for Cloud Storage or Hard Drive or neither? 🤔🤯
