Meditation is not new. It's become more and more popular for good reason. There are SO many positive benefits of meditation for your mind, body, and soul. The practice can lead to reduced stress and anxiety, improved focus and attention, and enhanced emotional well-being and overall brain function.

Here are 3 easy ways to form the habit and ease into meditation.

1️⃣ Daily Check-Off Challenge 🗓️

Set aside even just 5 minutes each day for meditation (you can build up to more time as you go). Create a simple calendar or use one like the Already There calendar (it’s SO cute!!). Check off each day you complete your meditation session. I love this one because behind each scratch off is beautiful artwork. As the calendar gets filled up with graphics, so will your sense of accomplishment and motivation to keep going!

2️⃣ Guided Meditation Magic 🎧

Begin with guided meditation sessions. There are so many on Spotify & YouTube. They're perfect for beginners because all you need to do is follow the voice of the speaker, making it easier to stay focused and relaxed.

3️⃣ Breathe In, Stress Out 🌬️

An effortless way to start meditating is simply by practicing mindful breathing. Find a comfortable position, close your eyes, and concentrate on your breath. Feel the air entering and leaving your body. Whenever your mind starts to wander, gently bring your focus back to your breath. That’s it! Start with 2 minutes, 5, then 10, etc.!

This simple exercise can be done anywhere, anytime!

I’ve been meditating for 10 years now (time flies) and it’s truly just become second nature. I once did a brainwave test to see my brain activity pre-meditation and post-meditation and let me tell you…meditating allows me to really slow down my thoughts. It was incredible to see that validated by science.

Remember, the journey of meditation is about progress, not perfection. Be kind to yourself, and enjoy the peaceful moments you create each day 🧘‍♀️
