The Ayam Penyet TO DIE FOR 😭♥️

As a ✨Nusantara✨ girl, I take my ayam penyet dish very seriously - sometimes going way overboard. But guysssss, I’ve found THE ONE. The ayam penyet I’d cry and beg for if the day comes that it’ll no longer exist in this world. The ayam penyet that I crave and yearn for no matter the occasion, time or day. And it’s from Saudagar Penyek - just a few steps away from where I live in Fernvale. 😭😭😭

I know the picture I posted might not prove this but BOY no image can capture this beauty. The fluffy rice is coated grain-by-grain with the essence of chicken that had been probably seeping in the pot since I was in diapers (take this sentence with a pinch of hyperbole). The sweet, yet spicy sambal that is really the perfect mash of chillies and unidentifiable spices. The FRIED CHICKEN - crispy, tender, the lovely threads of flesh dying to be stripped off by greasy, bare fingers. JUST.
