Vegan/Vegetarian Ramen Friendly | TOKYO GINZA

Who says vegetarian and vegans cant enjoy a good bowl of ramen in Japan? What took me by surprise was that the first time I came to Tokyo in 2017, this was the first place I ate ramen at.

After covid, they introduced a vegan/vegetarian friendly menu. Its so cool because the shop actually takes the effort to create a vegan charsiew that is charred using a blow torch to give a similar taste to regular charsiew.

Located in multiple areas of tokyo such as ginza and harajuku, akihabara and many other outlets, Kyushu Jangara is popular to many. Their regular tonkotsu based ramen is a hit especially if you add the spicy cod roe into your ramen to give it the extra richness. Do take note that the cod roe is slightly spicy and if you cant take spice, you can omit this.

The prices range from 700 to 1,300 yen depending on dishes and extra toppings. This translates to roughly $7SGD to $14SGD.
