Im NOT inviting my boyfriend to CNY this year 😬👀🍊

CNY is coming up & my mom has asked me if my boyfriend will be joining us and I said no 😶👀

Here are my reasons why I chose not to invite him to CNY this year 🧧🏮

1. It's too soon ⏱️ — We've only known each other for 10 months and to me that's still a short period of time to be introduced to my extended family. Even though we know we're end game, I just don't feel comfortable enough.

I will definitely invite him next year tho! which im super excited for 🥰💐

2. I don't think CNY should be the first time they meet him 🙇🏽‍♀️😌 — Im pretty close to most of my cousins and I feel like it'll be nicer for him & my family to meet for a meal or activity before that so they could get to know each other and it would not be awkward?!

For example, on his side i've met a couple of his extended family when they came out to visit Singapore or when I went over and they invited us out for a meal.

I just feel the connection is more meaningful which helps to create a better bond! 🫶🏻

3. Gossipy auties 💀✋🏼 — I've seen my cousins bring back different dates over the years & my aunties has always ALOT of things to say. Eventually, they stopped bring their partner along until they have confirmed they're getting engaged/married.
