Nestled within the CBD area, about 6 mins walking distance from Tanjong Pagar MRT, lies a hidden gem tucked in its corners, literally.

Milano Pizza and Wine is a Modern Italian restaurant that serves artisanal handmade sour dough pizzas 🍕, handmade pastas 🍝 and many other Italian dishes.

Thats right … you didn’t read wrongly … HANDMADE … all their sourdough pizzas and pastas are crafted daily … they cant get any “fresher”

The ambience for both the indoor and outdoor sitting areas are to die for … the dimly lighted place gives off a very mysterious and romantic vibe, layout and the interior design along with the furnitures and ornaments scream elegance.

The service there is top tier, staff were very accommodating.

[Personal Encounter]

Initially i was given the high table seating as all tables were occupied and reserved, one waitress offered me a reserved table on the condition that i was to finish my my meal within an hour (table was reserved for another customer coming then) 🙌🏻

☝🏻 Things to note before heading over

1.) Make sure to get a booking as the place is quite popular, walk-in tables are hard to come by.

2.) When making the booking, be sure to ask for the sofa/ low chair seating table. Unless you’re into high tables 🤷🏻‍♂️

Their pasta portions are huge so do factor that in when placing your orders.

[Dishes i ordered]

1.) Tagliatelle Ai Funghi

- A type of ribbon pasta served with oven roasted wild mushrooms, miso butter, cream, chives and pecorino.

- Creamy, flavourful and the pasta was al dente 😘🤌🏻 felt as if there were fireworks in my mouth because of all the different flavours you get to experience from the sauce.

2.) Pappardelle Sunday Gravy

- A type of ribbon pasta served with slow simmered beef cheek bolognese sauce, parmigiano reggiano.

- Rich taste, very saucy and flavourful, beef cheek chunks were really tender, the pasta just melts in your mouth.

3.) Mortadella & Burrata

- 6” square, thick and airy, naturally fermented sourdough pies. Repeatedly rested and folded every two hours over 24 hours.

- A sicilian grandma pizza that is topped by mortadella, straciatella and pistacho pesto.
