Nara Thai Cuisine CentralWorld - worth it?

Nara Thai Cuisine Central World

Ending the final full day of the trip at CentralWorld. Worked up an appetite whilst shopping and walking all day - from going Platitum Mall, Siam Area, CentralWorld, and BigC!

Went to Nara Thai Cuisine at L7. The restaurant was almost full, but luckily, we didn't need to queue or wait for long. We were sooo hungry we ordered 6 different things accompanied with rice for all of us!

What did we order?

🍴Omelette

- crispy sides, soft center. I don't remember whether it was crab or pork or chicken minced meat, lol... very normal...

🍴Morning Glory

- must order at every restaurant, honestly... good, just like every restaurant, but this was more stemed vege as compared to some which is more leafy, if you know what I mean. it's more crunch to every bite.

🍴Deep Fried Sea Bass w Garlic, Peppercorn & Herbs

- skip it. fish was a bit dry and hard-ish due to it being fried. most expensive of the dishes ordered but the one we all did not enjoy.

🍴Tom Yum Goong

- nice but very normal... a lot of things in the soup. the prawns were the highlight in the soup.

🍴Fried Pork Knuckle w Spicy Chilli Sauce

- omg... best dish ordered. crunchy, porky, meaty... served with chilli ❤️

🍴Stir Fried Krapao Pork

- goes well with rice. a bit salty but better than the fish!

🍴Beef Cheek Massaman

- second best dish! love the curry! scoop it up or drizzle over rice 🍚 soooo good. the beef was tender and not too chewy as well. It absorbed the spices and gives you a very flavourful bite.

Would I go back?

Maybe... it is overpriced for Thailand standards. But that is probably because it is michelin starred? It's good with good vibes, and the seasonal drinks were great. But... I wouldn't return just for the food. There are other restaurants I would like to try first... this wouldn't be my first option next time I visit BKK.

Good to try once if you are scratching your head thinking what to eat... but can skip it...
