Jū Kyū offers Japanese-chinese fusion cuisine and is conveniently located near Telok Ayer station (and all the offices in cbd). Prices are on the mid-range side and it’s a good place for dates and gatherings.

Best part, HAPPY HOUR PROMO: Mon-Thurs, Sat 5PM - 8PM for ALL draft beers and cocktails

We tried~

Truffle beef rice bowl (8.5/10)

Opted for the mushroom shrimp glutinous rice and I must say that im a big fan of it. Tasty, not too salty and jelat overall. Generous portion of thick cut beef as well, might be a little chewy for some.

Miso beef & shimeji (9/10)

Opted for white rice for this and the sliced beef and mushrooms paired well together.

Skewers (9/10)

Highly recommend to get the chicken, gizzards and tsukune. The meats are super tender, juicy and with a nice charred. Prices starts with $3.5 and this is arguably one of the cheapest skewers in a bar (in sg).

Cocktails (6/10)

It was too sweet for me and lacked depth for the 2 cocktails that we got.

Draft beer (10/10)

Go for the kirin one!!! Nothing can go wrong 👏

Overall, I would rate this place a solid 8/10 for good food and vibes and definitely would be back for more🔥
