Hello everyone ! 👋🏻💖

Today’s post took me a long consideration & courage whether or not to publish it. Because it will be about MY personal pov about certain client’s actions 🙎🏻‍♀️..

⚠️ As mentioned, this post is how I personally felt. Not all nail techs may feel the same.

Before expressing out how I felt, I would like to say tht i am a very nice person ya 😂. All my session w my clients are always filled w laughters & happiness so these all are what I heard, seen & also encountered once or twice myself before 🫠.

Here’s a list of what I’ll be talking about ⤵️ :

1. ⏰ Time / Rescheduling

Understanding that it goes both ways for respecting it 🫡. But sometimes it seems like we are automatically not being considered as a human.. Understanding tht u girls may book fr important events / holidays but us as a nail tech would tend to hv emergency as well.. such as being sick etc :”) Imagine paying $70 but at the end it didn’t turn out the best & what if we faint? 🤧 isn’t tht gonna be worse?? Well, I do believe most nail techs out here do offer deposit refund if we were the one who rescheduled. We are aware tht rescheduling = risk of losing one potential client which also equals to one less salary💰 & a potential regular client.. it’s a competitive business out here, we all have our worries as well but if there is no choice then what can we do too, right?

2. 🧠 Expectations & limited supplies

I think it’s important to keep in mind tht u are cmg to a homebase salon where spaces are limited. It’s tough fr us to bring in so much supplies every single time.. as much as we would love to, it’s not easy girls 🥺. We cnt bring in every single brand of different shades, all kinds of charms & all sorts of gel to create all different kind of designs out there. It isn’t as versatile as u girls think it is u know???? :”))) Certain kind of aesthetic requires a certain kind of gel to create. And let’s talk about styles / aesthetics ya ! 🫠. Fr me, I’ll always tell my client tht I’ll try my best to re-create the set tht they want, but we are humans after all.. we all hv a ‘ speciality ‘ style where we are btr / more comfortable at.. Which is why I think it’s important to look through a nailtech’s page before booking an appointment just so u get to see what kind of aesthetic they are more comfortable at 🤓.. This is the best way to prevent any dissatisfaction ya ! 👍🏻😅. While yes? We can always try but do keep in mind tht it may not turn out as expected so it’s btr keep a ‘ emergency design.

3. 🤳🏻🙎🏻‍♀️ Unsatisfactory & Social Media ( tiktoks )

Its just like working at f&b & customer service out there. Everyone expects customer’s to be nice or just RESPECTFUL where they will inform/tell us nicely if there is any issue where certain things were wishes to make some changes from rather than going off at u by filming u secretly etc etc, right? It’s the same bro, communicating nicely doesn’t hurt anyone.. Please do raise it up rather than keeping quiet bc we may not know what is going on as well 😓.. if u hate confronting, maybe try cmg it out from the nicest way possible instead? Or smtg??? It’s just to prevent any awkwardness but I believe all nail techs wouldn’t mind if u were to just say it la 😂, If voicing out ur dissatisfaction didn’t work & u receive bad attitude then thts another case but what I’m saying here is wtv u do, commutation is the key rather than just posting up on social medias such as tiktoks etc u know? Why break someone’s rice bowl?.. 🫠

4. 🙄 ‘ customer is always right ‘

Don’t be a Karen ladies.. We are living in a country where we are all entitled to ‘ freedom of speech ‘ . We are all out here trying to earn a living :”) things are getting tough fr us just like how it’s getting tough fr u. We all do hope to just do a set, build good client relations, laugh thru sessions & end the day as well.. it’s just like working in cooperate world where u hope tht ur colleagues will be nice but this is our own business.. one bad session will rlly bring us down & just like every human, we hv things to face outside of work life. I believe everyone who come to do their nails is a self pampering session so why do u hv to make things hard fr the one doing it’s job?

It’s honestly not so complicated.. It’s all about being nice, reasonable & understanding 😕. I know after sharing it seems like it’s super unfair, but please take some time to think in our shoe.. we are just trying to make a living via our passion. We don’t want trouble as well :”) But honestly, Lucky fr me ☺️ ! I rarely face all of this bc all my clients are the sweetest & nicest 💖. From the bottom of my heart, I appreciate it a lot & will always do 😘 ! This post’s mainly to share about what I hear, seen & encounter probably once or twice in my life as a nail tech. I just hope the world can be nicer to everyone 🫶🏻
