My #1 pet peeve as the “fat friend”

I’ve always had friends who were smaller than me, I was always the “fat friend” growing up.

I was never the friend the boys were interested in when in middle/ high school, it was always my skinnier friend who got the attention, BUT that’s not my pet peeve…

My #1 pet peeve was always when my much smaller friend would say something like “oh my gosh I’m so fat!” Or “I’m going on a diet, I’m so big”.

When someone like me sees/hears someone who most likely weights 100lbs less than her AT LEAST, say stuff like that, it really messes with our heads!

We are then thinking what you really think about us?

If you think you are fat and so big…what do you think I am?

It’s especially worse when they say the stuff in front of other people and you just stand there all quietly because you are obviously way larger than them and it’s SO awkward…
