My lungs are stapled now 🫁🤗

🌟 I’ve finally been discharged after spending 18 days in the hospital! 🎉💖

✨ Let me take you on a little journey of my lung surgeries: I underwent a Bullectomy followed by Pleurodesis for both lungs—what a ride it’s been! 🚀 First up was my left lung, and just 5 days later, I was back in the operating room for the right side. Talk about quick turnaround, right? 😅

💤 I was put under general anesthesia and woke up feeling like I was hit by a truck! The first breath felt like pure agony—I might've gone a little overboard with the morphine (whoops)! Let’s just say, I was super drowsy and kept wanting to snooze! 😴

🕒 My surgery took around 2-3 hours, and here’s the kicker: while working on my left lung, the doctors found that my right lung had recollapsed! They suggested placing a chest drain, but I politely declined because let's be real—one drain is enough pain for anyone! 😅 So, we went the oxygen route and monitored things until we could tackle the right lung surgery.

🌈 Fast forward to Day 2 post-surgery: rehabilitation kicked off with the amazing Occupational Therapist guiding me through the process! I started walking around the ward and practicing my breathing with a device called a spirometer—essentially a lung-strengthening superhero! 🦸‍♀️

✨ By day 4, the tubes came out, the X-ray looked good, and I got the green light to GO HOME! 🌈💖

Now, I’m embarking on my recovery journey, not quite sure how long it’ll take, but I’m optimistic that one day I’ll be cleared to fly again! ✈️
