tofu cake? tofu sandwich? BRUNCH SPOT!!! 🍳🍰✨

IT'S BEEN AWHILE BUT I'M BACK WITH ANOTHER POST!!! ☁️✨ extremely excited to share this relatively new cafe in town called 𝗟𝘂𝗰𝗶𝗻𝗲 – a brand under the ever so popular local patisserie, 𝗟𝗨𝗡𝗔. fun fact, i got a set of cakes from them back in 2022 as a b'day gift for my best friend, who ended up being my bf weeks later – so THANK YOU LUNA FOR BEING THE ULTIMATE WINGMAN. alright i'll cut to the chase but yes, i was ecstatic upon knowing that i'll be trying their cakes (alongside other dishes!) again! 🙂‍↔️

we managed to try their sandwiches, drinks, & of course their cakes! let me take you through my review~

𝗧𝗼𝗳𝘂 𝗞𝗮𝘁𝘀𝘂 𝗦𝗮𝗻𝗱𝘄𝗶𝗰𝗵 $𝟭𝟬.𝟵𝟬

ABSOLUTELY LOVED THIS. having tofu in a sandwich is indeed interesting! the soft & delicate tofu paired with the crispy & crunchy breading was such a great combination. JUST LOOK AT THE CROSS SECTION hehehe... 😋 it also comes with sriracha mayo which added even more layers of taste! super yummy, definitely a must-try! 💯

𝗛𝗮𝗺𝗯𝘂𝗿𝗴 𝗦𝘁𝗲𝗮𝗸 𝗦𝗮𝗻𝗱𝘄𝗶𝗰𝗵 $𝟭𝟯.𝟵𝟬

something a little bit more basic. personally, i'm not the biggest fan of minced, ground meat but we decided to give it a try anyway. the beef patty was juicy and well seared! i'd say that you'll enjoy this if you're a fan of burgers as it's rather flavourful & hearty 🍔

𝗕𝗹𝗮𝗰𝗸 𝗦𝗲𝘀𝗮𝗺𝗲 𝗟𝗮𝘁𝘁𝗲 $𝟴.𝟱𝟬

as someone who loves black sesame, this was delightful... 🥹 this creation perfectly combined the nuttiness of the black sesame with the creamy texture of the latte. i personally really enjoyed the toasty flavour along with its roasted, earthy notes! 🌾 try this out if you're looking for a unique alternative to your usual lattes~

𝗧𝗶𝗿𝗮𝗺𝗶𝘀𝘂 𝗟𝗮𝘁𝘁𝗲 $𝟴.𝟱𝟬

the presentation of this drink was SPOT ON. look at that sponge finger biscuit!!! i found this adorable lol & the hands-on experience of dipping the biscuit in the latte definitely added to the experience ☕️ a well crafted drink that captures the classic Italian dessert in a drink, but we both thought that the cream overpowered the latte quite a bit. nonetheless, this wasn't too heavy & the smooth texture of the drink glides effortlessly down the palate~

𝗧𝗼𝗳𝘂 $𝟴.𝟱𝟬

from the glass panel, this caught our attention immediately! ☁️ how cute is that? it looks like a bar of soap... or even airpods... definitely too pretty to eat. one of their newer cakes, this features layers of silken tofu cream, hazelnut ganache, & buckwheat mousse. cutting into it, it was super soft & delicate. we enjoyed the smooth textures of this unique creation reminiscent of actual tofu. this has somewhat of a mushy mouthfeel though so try this with an open mind 🙂‍↕️

𝗠𝗶𝗻𝘁 𝗖𝗵𝗼𝗰𝗼𝗹𝗮𝘁𝗲 $𝟴.𝟱𝟬

love how this lowkey looked like a plant! 🪴 perched on a chocolate brownie, the top half of this cake features mint chocolate mousse with the middle having a rich chocolate ganache. wish the mint flavour was stronger but we really enjoyed how decadent the ganache was! perfect for x'mas imo~ 🎄

overall, 𝗟𝘂𝗰𝗶𝗻𝗲 is definitely a place worth checking out for its creative spin on regular dishes. its modern creations & the attention to detail in both presentation & flavour is what makes this cafe so sophisticated. plus, prices are reasonable considering how decently portioned each item is! i highly recommend stopping by especially for their cakes & drinks!!! 🍰
