hey everyone!!! 🍋 i've always been a sucker for rs posts but never got around to sharing my own bc i don't wna overshare or have the post end up being too cringe LOL but since it's campaign szn & i love yapping, here's somewhat of a #storytime for y'all!

𝗬𝗘𝗦. 𝗜 𝗠𝗔𝗗𝗘 𝗧𝗛𝗘 𝗙𝗜𝗥𝗦𝗧 𝗠𝗢𝗩𝗘. & 𝗧𝗛𝗜𝗦 𝗜𝗦 𝗪𝗛𝗬 𝗬𝗢𝗨 𝗚𝗜𝗥𝗟𝗜𝗘𝗦 𝗦𝗛𝗢𝗨𝗟𝗗 𝗧𝗢𝗢. 😠😠😠

just for context, we first met in primary school & were besties LOL... then drifted after going to different secondary schools & only reconnected in poly, but yes!!! we've been together for >2 years now~ 🌟 i absolutely love seeing people give me the WTF?! face whenever i share this piece of info & have their jaws drop even more after finding out i was the one who decided to make the first move... 🤡

for the longest time, we have been brought up to believe that guys should be the ones asking girls out but i think this stereotype should be broken!!! don't get me wrong, i find it perfectly normal for guys to chase / pursue their love interest but hey, who's to say that girls can't pull the same move too? of course, assess your situation carefully but as a girl, you shouldn't feel like a loser for letting someone else know how you truly feel!!!

i'd admit it was easier for me to do so since we have already known each other for years but here are the reasons why i confessed first!!! wowie girlboss moment FRFR 🤡

maybe i'm just impatient & persistent but i can't be bothered to get myself into that 'play hard to get' nonsense... ❌❌❌ imagine chatting & going out so often yet neither party wants to address this unspoken issue that is lingering between the both of you... are we friends? are we dating? HOW WOULD YOU KNOW UNLESS YOU ASK!!! 🥴 it's so frustrating being in the grey area & not knowing exactly what y'all are!!! a simple clarification or confession will easily lead you to your answer. indeed, it's easier said than done but communicating & having a straightforward conversation will save loads of unnecessary confusion & potential heartbreak ❤️‍🩹

i've heard from many people that guys are highly likely to say 'yes' when a girl confesses LOL not sure if it's due to a major ego boost or what but HAHAHA i believe everyone appreciates sincerity & honesty, especially when it comes to situations like these! when girls take the initiative to make the first move, guys probably see it as empowering & refreshing!!! ✨ it takes a lot of courage to be vulnerable, especially to break down traditional gender roles, so if things are generally going well & you're determined for it to work, GO FOR IT~
