🤢🤢 honestly it’s gross now I remember why my friend and I felt so itchy whenever we were sitting down during the entire bus ride

I saw news articles that they’re gna clean the seats and stuff but I would generally avoid sitting down 🫠 except if you really have no choice ✅ to be safe - just don’t sit down!

I was just minding my own business on the bus when there was a random check, and the officier told me I had to pay a fine of 34€ because I didn’t have a picture on my navigo card (ezlink card) 😰

like ?!?! anw i paid the fine and i went online to search that there has been an increase of checks on buses or metro, especially targeting tourists 😭

👂🏻here’s what I gathered

- if you’re buying Navigo découverte card, you need a photo on it

- if you buy paper tickets, make sure they’re validated and not DEMAGNETISED (don’t hold them close to your phone)

- sometimes it’s not your fault but it’s the gantry machine that isn’t working so your ticket isn’t validated and in this case if you get checked it’s really hard to argue your case unless you have video proof and you probably have to pay the fine 🫣

so much for Singapore being a fine city huh 🙄

honestly I’m just very upset that it seems like they’re targeting tourists to earn some quick bucks and not actually fixing any problems. I do love France and Paris is a lovely city, I wish they’d do better! 🥹
