Why I’m leaving NYC🏙️🚕

I’m leaving NYC…

I’ve lived here for 2 years and I’m so over it.

I’m over stepping on trash everywhere, I’m over weird smells, I’m over feeling like I need a shower every time I walk out of my apartment, I’m over being anxious about my hair touching the subway, I’m over the cold, I’m over a lot of things.

I want sunshine, no days below 60, the smell of the Pacific, a car, an apartment with a dishwasher and laundry in-unit, a big warehouse gym, and my friends and family.

I’m definitely a CA girl at heart, and I need to go back home <3

I’m very happy that I lived in NYC, I don’t regret it AT ALL! There would have always been that “what if,” and wondering what it’s like in the big city. But now I know, I understand why people move out to have kids and like the suburbs. But I also understand why there’s no place like here, and how the city helps many people’s dreams come true. It did for me.

But I know this will make me happy.
