The people are so kind, everyone likes to chat and they are so happy to hear you speaking Greek, even if it’s a broken one. The language is so hard, but luckily everyone speaks English. Even though we communicate in English with the locals, I love adding a Greek word here and there. It expands my vocabulary and it makes the locals happy to hear you trying. If you’re like me, you may find this list a little bit helpful for your first day in this beautiful place.
