hands down THE BEST STEAK IN BRISTOL 🐄🙌🏻🏆

During my visit to Bristol I was told to try out Pasture, a well-known fire grill steakhouse. I’m not a massive meat eater so I was a little skeptical: how good could this steak be? 🙄 I’m pleased to share that was I proven wrong: everything about the experience left me in awe.

We were seated right by the grill, which was a feast for the eyes. Everything about the food preparation is meticulous: you chose your OWN slab of meat and they have specific cuts that they classify by its weight. The service was EXCEPTIONAL: our server was really helpful with explaining the different cuts of meat (and even brought out samples from each of the cuts to let us see!) He was also really funny, and made appropriate suggestions or recommendations whenever needed.

Here’s what we had:

🔥 FIRE ROASTED CHICKEN WITH BROWN BUTTER BERNAISE: 4 /⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

Really juicy cut of meat that was grilled to perfection. It also came with a choice of fries!

🔥 BURRATA SALAD WITH HERITAGE TOMATOES, ELDERFLOWER VINEGAR AND OLIVE TUILE: 3.5 /⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

We had this as our starter, and it did an excellent job at activating our appetite!

🔥 BROCCOLINI: 4 /⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

When I checked their menu to make this post, I realised that they no longer have the broccolini on the menu. But this was cooked to perfection; you know how when you grill vegetables they sometimes end up having that slight crisp? The crisp to juicy ratio on their broccolini was immaculate!

🔥 CHÂTEAUBRIAND STEAK: 5 /⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

This was the star of the show! Grilled to absolute perfection, it was a perfect mix of chewy and melt in your mouth. You could also choose 2 different sauces to go with your steak: we got the whiskey teriyaki and brown butter bernaise, which added such a dimension to the flavours that we kept going back for more.
