kooks creamery: does it live up to the hype?! 🤔

i feel like i might be the last person to give kooks creamery a try, after seeing it online for ages 😅

or maybe i’m not, and this honest review will be helpful to you! 😂

i visited the bedok outlet on a friday night around 9pm and it was packed, but we didn’t have to wait for a seat. here’s what we ordered!

🫐 BLUEBERRY YOGHURT ICE CREAM + MATCHA LAVA COOKIE — $13.30

i loved the ice cream so much 😭 i am a sucker for yoghurt flavours (llaollao is my absolute fav) and this one was perfectly balanced in sweetness and tartness. it actually paired rly well with the matcha lava cookie which was not too sweet. there wasn’t rly any labels on the ice cream flavours so i was a little surprised to learn that a scoop of this was $6.30 but well worth it imo!

i loved the dirty matcha flavour! i don’t like things that are overly sweet so the bitter aftertaste is perfect for me. on the other hand, the tau huey ice cream was too sweet for me. it really did taste like lao ban tho lol. i would probably only order the dirty matcha flavour again! 🥺

service was a little lacklustre though, no smiles from the crew that served us and we felt rushed to order/be served. no water is provided either, so bare that in mind! 😅

i did find it a little pricy, so it’s definitely reserved for a special occasion for me! 😂
