so I am a chronic workaholic.
I HATE taking breaks. and oftentimes, I do not want to do any self-care.
and then eventually I burn out. I can't focus, I can't get anything done, and I rely too heavily on caffine and food to make me feel better. I set a standard that I don't deserve love and rest. my productivity slows down, I don't feel good, and it is just a horrible situation.
in a world that praises productivity and masculine-energy, it is hard to just TAKE A BREAK WITHOUT FEELING GUILTY.
but alas, you girlie, need breaks. if the workaholic schedules in relaxing self-care times & days, you can too.
there are SO MANY benefits for self-care. trust me, these tiktok girls are ON TO SOMETHING.
1. prevents burnout: this is self-explanatory. allowing for breaks allows you to not just get so exhausted and crash.
2. boosts overall productivity: thanks to benefit #1 , you aren't having burnout sessions. you are able to stay focused and be more productive long-term.
3. makes you feel good: if you look good, you feel good. PERIODDDD ππ
4. sets a standard: if you don't see yourself worthy of rest and love from YOURSELF, you are going to accept those low standards from someone else. you are a princess babe. remember that.
5. embraces your femininty: rest and self-care are amazing activities to make you feel like a GIRL AGAIN. as someone who has very masculine energy, having time for self care allows me to step into my feminine energy.
