Tips for Growing Peonies

Blair Waldorf inspired me to grow peonies.

They’re actually a very easy plant it’s just take a few years for your peony plant to get established.

✨Here are my tips✨

• Get your hands on some peony roots. You don’t have to pay a fortune, my favorite roots actually came from Home Depot!

• Plant them in a location that gets full sun most of the day.

• You’ll see shoots in early spring

• Your first year you might not get any blooms (that’s normal) allow the bush to grow as much as possible and don’t cut it back

• Every year allow the plant to grow and I only cut back in late winter

• Each year you’ll get more and more shoots and more blooms

• Cut flowers when the buds are squishy like a marshmallow but not yet open

• Enjoy your blooms!
