This is my go to spring treat. It is super easy, tastes delicious and feeds a crowd. In the fall, I switch out the mashed banana for pumpkin and it’s a whole different treat. Highly recommend!
Banana Bar Ingredients:
1 1/2 cups sugar
1/2 cup sour cream (I replace this with greek yogurt)
1/2 cup butter softened
2 eggs
2 cups smashed bananas
2 tsp vanilla
2 cups flour
1 tsp baking soda
3/4 tsp salt
Directions:
1. Preheat oven to 375 degrees
2. Combine sugar, sour cream, butter and eggs in a bowl; mix
3. Add bananas and vanilla to the mix
4. Add flour, baking soda and salt.
5. Mix until all combined
6. Pour into greased jelly roll pan and bake for 27 minutes
Brown Butter Frosting
Ingredients:
1 cup softened butter
8 cups powdered sugar
6 Tbsp milk
3 tsp vanilla
Directions:
1. Melt butter in sauce pan until golden brown
2. Pour into bowl and mix with the rest of the ingredients
