Curious about an open relationship?

I’m not gonna lie, the hardest part about having a CNM relationship is not jealousy, insecurity, or trust. For me, the hardest part was feeling like I had to convince everyone around me why I was in an open relationship. Having a non-conventional relationship (LGBTQ+ or CNM) is not what we have grown up to accept in our society and someone will always have an opinion about your relationship. As long as you and your partner are at a full understanding of why and how you will go about your relationship that is what is most important.

I understand CNM is not for everyone and requires a lot of trust, communication, and confidence in the relationship in order to add others into the mix. In many ways, my open relationship has healed me from past relationship trauma (cheating) but if you’d like to know more about that I’d be happy to make a separate post about it!
